TheShady
Denk mal schon... It's always the same. In every game. You Americans never think of the others
Xcom
Stefan, another attempt: http://www.matrixrain.com/kotor/xc_sbs_secsys2.zip The procedure is the same as above. Just replace secsys.dlg in the Override with the one in the zip. If this won't work, I'll have serious DIALOGUE with tk102. You can find my e-mail in the readme.txt that came with the mod. tk102
Edit: Try Xcom's version first. If that fails, try mine... Here is a version of the dialog with all the TSL-specific fields populated. I'm beginning to doubt this is the problem though since the mod seems to work for English-based users. There have been many times that I wish I had a non-English OS for pure testing purposes as these types of errors are difficult to troubleshoot for us Americans. Hmm, if every dialog needs to be specially adjusted, our friend Stefan will have major problem when(if) he enters the simulation. He won't be able to get out. That's also controlled by dialog which were created from scratch with DLGEditor.

Well with this one I see my chick from above and nothing happens. It's better than an error Well... Maybe not. My screen is pretty bright after closing the game :D And with tkblablas file, the good old error returns to give the modders a hard night... I am really sorry for this man, but if we get it to work, I'll credit you as tester in the next release. tk, take a note. All I did was changing the Text in and assigning the script in DLGedit. No new entries, no nothing. Result= German Game Crash.
StefanRode
tk102's zip: the same error message Xcom: I see my chick from above and nothing happens I have now the german dlg download link: http://d22.yousendit.com/C/1OJFD1OY74T5D14DD7OH58T4O1/dialog.tlk you can also download it here http://s22.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1OJFD1OY74T5D14DD7OH58T4O1
TheShady
This Thread nearly becomes a chatroom now Could it be because of loading a savegame and not starting a new game. I loaded a game on Dantooine where I, of course, had the Ebon Hawk already. I have got other mods where you should load a savegame where you never have been on the Ebon Hawk or start a new game. I'll try this when I start a new game. Peragus is pretty short after all.
Xcom
Stefan, your links don't seem to work, plus tlk file isn't this important in this case, unless I am very much mistaken. One of you is got to get Kotor Tool and extract german secsys.dlg file, if I am to make this work. tk, got your messages. Tnks.

Darth333
When a .dlg file is edited and custom replies/entries are added, the strings are stored directly in the .dlg instead of the .tlk table. So if you want the .dlg file to work with another language version of the game, you hve to change the language ID for each of the new strings. I don't know if this is the problem here but it's worth trying: Open Xcom's .dlg file with a gff editor. Verify each Entry/Reply and set the language ID to 2 (German) instead of 0 for each text field that says :"Text [CExolocstring] = 1 strings". Here is a pic of what you have to do: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/D333/GFFesp.jpg (note: here I changed the 0(English) for a 4 (spanish)as I did this for a Spanish forum). Just make sure you don't end up with two strings for the same entry/reply. You can get all the tools in this thread: http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=143421

tk102
Darth333, Was the Language ID enforced in KotOR for localized strings? That is, was the change you specified required to make the dialogs display properly in the Spanish version?
Xcom
Thanks Darth. Following up on your suggestion: http://www.matrixrain.com/kotor/xc_sbs_secsys3.zip If this solves it, I still need to fix a few more dialogues which are packed inside mod file. That said, I thought that Language ID only made sense when you reference StrRef in tlk file.

I remember people saying that the item descriptions added to .uti files wouldn't display.

There are other dialogs in there that will screw things up. oh and muchos danke, Darth
