*update* Just updated the robe. Changed some design ideas. Changed some colors, added a belt, Boots. Pretty much the final product, graphic wise.

lookin for yer opinion(s). Im not done yet. Still have some messing around to do. Some more boarders, along the arms and boots. Also want to work on the neck area.

I dont pretend to know how to mod, but i used to do skins for The Sims, As well as Characters in Poser 4 and 5. So i decided to try this.

I do plan on making this a unique robe, as im working on learning scripting and placeables, so i can get things working on my xbox [i have an ATI card, so this game doesnt run well on my Computer] because obviously the GiveItem cheat doesnt work for me.

Nice Work indeed!

Curious, how did you get the alpha to not cut through the legs as well? I've used an alpha to cut away a piece f robe as well... but it appeared to cut through the whole model.

I'd love to know how you did it!

VERY nice!

The only 'quirk' I can see is there's a center piece of material on the back pattern of the robe that seems to be 'magically' suspended in mid-air... of course it is StarWars ;) heheh..

Beautiful work and a great concept!

@Harker

I believe if to apply the alpha to the underside of the robe (on the skin .tga) and not the actual back of the robe, the alpha shouldn't affect the legs. Finding it on the UVmap is going to be the harder part.. as I'm sure your quite aware of (I've seen your great work as well ;) )

Ya i saw that. What i havent worked out is just how much of a border is around the objects. Meaning, while i put the patteren right up to the edge of the TGA, obviously the texturing doesnt start right at the edge, its inset some, It cut out some of the patteren.

That said, I changed it. The Tribal design really didnt fit the celtic style i was going for. So i made a more simplified design, but one that fits with the concept.. How well its going though is really aiding me in wanting to do more.

Ill have an updated Screen soon.

I like it.

You know, I started messing around with the jedi robes a little last night as I want to do an Ulic Qel'Droma robe, but I was disappointed at the limitations I was stuck dealing with cause of the cloak and all.

However that was before I realized that the alpha channel acts as a transparency.

Now I can't wait to get home and work on it again :)

dunno, dunno, dunno, lol.

as stated, still learning scripting and placeables. The graphic part, for me, was the easy part, hehe.

i know how to create items, i just need to learn the rest.

I think I like the previous design a little bit more. The cross thing is too religous or gothic. I can't decide.

the more i look at it, the more i tend to agree.

I think ill release 2 different ones. I think ill remove the cross [go with something different], add some more "white" and make it a Jedi Robe, then go a bit more darker with the tribal designs, as the other poster said, and go with a sith design.

appreciate the feedback.
