New models work on the x-box

Well, I wanted to see if I could get Prime's stormtrooper helmet into the x-box, and sure enough....It worked!

 

The only Problem Im having is getting the textures to align. They seemed to align ok on the pc, but maybe the x-box has them at a different size or something? If anyone can figure out how to get the textures to fit let me know.

 

Note: I can get textures to work on the models that are already in game. Like my new PC skin. (The Jesus PC with black hair and sith darkside transitions.)

i dont believe all models work. Redhawkes custom Sabre models do NOT import into the game for me. When i get to the harbringer [i actually edited to activate in the security room on peragus for testing purposes] I do not get the sabres. The game actually semi locks up, i have to hit a button, it continues, but never shows the items i recieved. GOto the inventory and everything but the sabres showed up.

 

Textures on the Xbox are 256. The TXI files that accompany items have a line that says something along the line of "xbox downsize 256." Its why your reskins work [because the TXI is in the game] but your new skin for the new item is not. You could downsize it yourself, or export a generic TXI file that has the xbox downsize 256 in it, and rename it to the same name as the skin. Then it does it automatically.

 

but im intrigued, i do all my stuff with the xbox in mind, because thats what I use. Its great that mods typically work from PC to Xbox. And id love to find out if there is some sort of universal solution to Xbox and New Models.

not yet.

 

If you get a PC model to work on the xbox you are lucky. They have moved things around quite a bit in the xbox model format.

 

With Envidas help I am working on the xbox model format.

make a generic text document and put the line

 

xbox_downsample 256

 

save it as the same name as the text, except make the extension txi

Even with the KotOR to Xbox problems, you might have even more with this one...

 

The Revelation Robes are a KotOR model, not a TSL version (though if that's the game you're attempting, groovy :) )

 

Also, The Revelation Robes has an edited appearance.2da for Bastila's values. Be sure to change her envmap column entry to CM_Baremetal... otherwise she'll be transparent in certain areas... (instructions are in the readme)...

 

This is assuming the port over to Xbox works... good luck! :D
