Atavist
umm, just a color inversion?
Drazin
Not bad Kay. I like how you gave the Shirt more "Cloth" appearance instead of just 1 flat color. Nicely done. And 2-tone boots! Great stuff.
Nasadus
That looks familliar Anyway,it's nice but it looks like you just used a Negative filter to get this effect.I'll wait and see how the finished product turns out before i judge it. Keep it up though.
SuperSquall
Originally posted by Atavist umm, just a color inversion? Doesn't look like that by my eye. Color Inversion alone rarely works out nicely. Looks pretty good, but some more detail on the cloak would be nice. Plain white looks a little... plain. Harker
Some suggestions: 1) Make the gloves grey. currently, they look like a textureless part of the model. 2) Give the over-robe more definition. White isn't the greatest color for showing definiteion, so you may want try a lighter grey. If you do that, then maybe deepen the grey you are using for the shirt and pants. 3)Maybe trying switching the coloring on the boots: go for grey feet and white calves? 4) Don't be afraid to through another color, or shade of "grey" in the mix to help accent certain elements of the robe. 5)Might also consider make the hood, grey. 6) Instead of grey all together. try going for a nice blue or even green... that's staying within the "lightside" arena. Other than that, i'd say it's getting there!

And for the Negative Colors, well umm thats not what i did... and oh yeah this isnt a black robe... This is a "Jedi Robe" that im working on so i started out with brown and some white... so you cant really call that a color inversion.

If I can dig up one my first reskin PSDs that show the hand areas, I will send that to you or post here. I think that robe was using the same skin you appear to be using. But to make sure, can you post which robe you are suing? Preferrably, the name the way the game refers to it (i.e. PMBI09, PFBH11, etc. etc.) I'm at work, and the PSD I need is at home, otherwise, I'd do it now! Harker
It's the skin toned area! All the skin toned area has to do either with HANDS or nothing at all... at least, that's what my investigation led me too find out. You can see that I was working with a skin tone gradient to give it a little dynamic. If it's ALL the same tone, the hands look like plastic hands. I believe Melign will recognize these robes... just one of many recolors I did on robes I liked, but wanted to tweak something to fit my tastes a tad more. Hope this is helpful! It's a 512x512 jpeg, so if you save it and lay it over what you are working with as a guide layer, you should have NO trouble!
