I was wondering how to change what robes the 3 jedi masters in TSL wore so i could have them wear my own custom robes. Do i have to change the master robe, or could i edit one of the files in appearance.2da?

Replace the standard Master robes with .tga files with the look you want. Then use KOTORtool to extract the Master Robes .uti file and then extract the .tga images for the original master robes and use those to make your own unique robe.

That way you can have the original robe and the others can use the .tga files look (or the robe) you decide to give em'

Hope that helps :)

Sorry for the quickie post :) I'll try to explain better what I mean.

If you wanna keep the original Jedi Master Robe for yourself here's what I'd do:

Use KOTORtool to open up the games files and go into the .uti files section. Copy the Jedi Master Robes .uti file into a folder on your desktop.

Then use KOTORtool to extract out the .tga files that match up to the Jedi Master robe.

When your done you should have a folder with a .uti file and a .tga file

*you can find the .uti file by having the robe in a saved game and then opening it up with KSE and fishing through your inventory. It will list the "name" aka Jedi Master Robe then the uti file name that gives it to you.

*if you have a program like Photoshop as your pixel editing program you can double click on the .tga files and they will pop-up a preview window in KOTORtool. Then you can just fish through em' till you find the Jedi Master Robes .tga file.

Now keep that copy exactly the way it is. Go out to your desktop and copy that folder you made right next to it.

Open up the first folder and change the number in the file (something like PFBM240.tga) and change that 240 section to a number say between 250 and 254. It would then be PFBM250.tga or the like. You get the point, the filename will be your Jedi Master .tga name. Then open up KOTORtool and open the .uti file. Change the "Template ResRef" and "Tag" fields to (say yourname). Then in the "Texture Variation" field change that number to the number you just renamed your .tga file. In this case it would be 250 since that's the number I used. The fields should be: yourname, yourname, 250. Click the "Description" tab and in the "Name" field you can name your Jedi Master Robes a unique name you'd like to see in-game. Click save and then save it as the name you used in the "Template ResRef" field. In this case it would be named: yourname.uti and save it in the first folder you made.

That will allow you to do a "giveitem yourname" and you will get your standard Jedi Master robes with your unique name you gave them.

Now open up the second folder and delete the .uti file so all you are left with is the .tga file. Open that .tga file in your Photoshop or whatever type program you use and edit the "stock" in-game robes to whatever you want them to look like.

You can now open up your override folder and select those two folders on your desktop and simply move, or copy and paste them into the override folder.

You should now when you load a game have the stock jedi master robes changed to something else and you can still get your original jedi master robes by doing a "giveitem yourname"

:) Hope that helps

My fingers hurt now...lol
