Does KOTOR Mods work for KOTOR2

For the most part, no.

 

Anything with a .2da file won't work. Any scripts that reference game-specific creatures or items won't work. Dialogs are typically attached to game-specific creatures so they won't work. UTI files reference a game-specific .2da files, so they probably won't work, etc. etc.

Hmm yes, i tried to put my old custom saber into K2, but only the pics ported, and just by looking at mdlOPS i am pretty sure .mdl and .mdx have to be compiled differently and you need to do a new UTI (not much time involved there). Can i get a confirmation on my .mdl/.mdx theory?

TSL models have extra data not stored in KotOR models. So, no, they won't port nicely.
