Yarr
I was told that, in order to find in-game dialog I have to look at the .dlg or Dialog.tlk files, and to find out how to do that, I should ask here. So...here I am, asking.
Darth333
Welcome to the forums Use kotor tool to access the dialogs. In Kotor 1 the dialogues are located in : 1. BIFs>Templates.bif>dialog (mostly party member dialgoues which are not linked to a specific module) and 2. In the module files you will find the dialogues that are specific to each module RIMs>Modules>*_s.rim>dialog In Kotor 2, the dialogues are in: 1. BIFs>Templates.bif>dialog (mostly party member dialgoues which are not linked to a specific module) - just like k1 and 2. In ERFs>modules: you will find the dialogues that are specific to each module However, if you want to edit Kotor 2 dialogues, DO NOT use Kotor tool: you will loose a lot of valuable information (global variables, scripts, etc) and it will mess up the .dlg file when you save. You will need tk102's DLGeditor available on our website: http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php Finally, tk102 just updated Kotortlk to edit and view the .tlk file (also on starwarsknights.com). If you intend to release a mod, avoid modifying the .tlk file: there is just one for the whole game and it creates more risks of mod conflicts. Even more, it will change the language of the game of people who download your mod and who have another language version.
