eaglekid2001
I wasn't particularly sure whether to ask the person who made the mod, or anyone else who has encountered this problem and has managed to solve it. As soon as a I click 'yes' to install it from the .exe file, it brings up an error message 'RichEdit line insertion error' and doesn't do anything more I'd appreciate help from anyone as I've toiled for hours trying to sort out this problem, the thought never occured to ask the person who made it... ChAiNz.2da
Someone had a similiar problem with one of my mods (using the installer).. here was the "temporary" fix, though it's not suggested to continue doing this... http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1824875#post1824875 There's been a small discussion on the matter and trying to 'de-bug' the problem... maybe perhaps an either outdated form of RichEdit.dll... more info here: http://www.pcgamemods.com/forum/topicdisplay.php?t=19829&page=2 and yet another link... hehehe.. here's the proper thread for any questions on the Force Powers mod. It'll help in the future if others have the problems you're having http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=149632 Hope that helps! Those files are a part of Windows, but some other applications (among them Microsoft apps, ironically) apparently replace them with some strange version when installed. If you want, try downloading this archive. It contains the RichEdit DLLs from my system. Put them into the C:\Windows\System32\ folder. Make a backup of the two files that exist there already first in case this causes trouble and you need to remove them again. This apparently helped someone else who has the same problem, but I can't promise it will work for you too. I've never been able to reproduce the error myself so I only know what I've been able to figure out from others. This isn't a problem specific to the Installer AFAIK, seems like a whole bunch of other programs have the same problems with incorrect riched DLLs present, according to a quick google search.
