Master_Ginn
So, i'm in the process of making a batman costume. Not a cloth one but an actual suit made out of either latex or rubber. I have the idea on how i'm going to make it but i could use some help from anyone who knows about plaster and latex. I have a chest piece in which i would like to make a mold of. what kind of product should i use to make a mold, any old plaster? Then from there i'm going to make a cast of that chest out of either latex or some sort of rubber, something that is not too stiff but something that can hold it's shape well. I've checked out a bunch of websites and most of them have the same materials, i'm just not sure which ones I should use. I've emailed a few and posted on forums but no one seems to want to answer me. If anybody has any knowledge about plaster and latex and things it would be awesome if you could help me out. Thanks a bunch!
El Sitherino
Casting plaster. They sell them at certain hobby shops. It's nice because it won't ruin the item you're making a mold of like ordinary plaster.
Master_Ginn
Will it stick to cloth? The chest piece i'm using is covered by material.
