Stumpyia
Hi, I'm extremely new to modding. I've been wanting to attempt painting new outfits for some of the characters (like a new underwear set for mission or an outfit for Juhani). I tried to understand the "how to capture a models uv map to aid in retexturing thread", but I didnt understand it too well. First of all, I have The GIMP instead of photoshop, because I'm cheap. Second of all, I'm not sure if I got the first part with KOTOR tool right either. Could someone please help me out by explaining how to do that with GIMP, and dumb down the first part a bit? Thnx in advance, if anyone decides to help a poor newbie.

Command3r
First (in KOTOR tool) go to ERFs then go to TexturePacks then go to swpc_tex_tpa.erf and from there down to P (which contains all of the party members texture files). Then identify the files you want (the party member's files are named) amd extract them. And I also think that it gives you the option of turning the files into TGA and you should do that
Lando Griffin
Ok, first go to my documents, make a new folder, call it reskins(thats what i call it) then extract the files from the kotor tool to the reskins folder. Open up gimp then select open, find and choose the armor, robe, skin or whatever u want to reskin. THen select a style of or setting, like color, dark light, hard light, if you want the same designs on the skin, use color, if you want dark colors use dark light, (color wont get dark, always light and bright) hard light is for like really light skins, choose a color for you skin, and those I guese are the basics. When done save into your reskin or make another file in your documents called My new reskins or something like that. Command3r
Yeah Griffins instructions are also correct. Extract them to a easy to find folder. And remember to save the files in TGA format.
