Aleph Nought
I have been working on an npc recruitment mod for TSL. Using Darth333's tutorial, I am nearing completion, but I have a few final questions: My npc (Dhagon Ghent) has been recruited successfully. However, in the Character Screen he appears from the knees up. (I replaced T3-M4.) How do I fix this? I have a custom portrait for Dhagon working, but I used row 0 in portraits.2da. Is this okay? These are the most important conflicts as of right now. After these are resolved, however, this mod has several neat features, like a trainable Dhagon dialogue option and (hopefully) a custom item or two. Thanks in advance to any help! Dark_lord_Cheez
However, in the Character Screen he appears from the knees up. (I replaced T3-M4.) How do I fix this? You'll either have to replace some other character, or just ignore it. If you replace T3 or either of the other two droids you'll have trouble with the character screen as far as I know. For some reason the game still views them as droids even after you make all the necessary changes. As for the portraits question, I'm not sure... RedHawke
My npc (Dhagon Ghent) has been recruited successfully. However, in the Character Screen he appears from the knees up. (I replaced T3-M4.) How do I fix this? You can't, it has to do with the models for the NPC's you are replacing, T3, G0-T0, and Hanharr's slots will always make a normal sized NPC look off kilter, because G0-T0 and Hanharr are set higher on the screen, and T3 is set shorter so the model hooks aren't centered on those screens. There is no way to fix this, other than using another NPC slot. I have a custom portrait for Dhagon working, but I used row 0 in portraits.2da. Is this okay? I would say no... it may cause some problems later on... always place your new 2da lines at the end of the file, especially if you plan to release the mod to the public. I hope this helps! Aleph Nought
I was trying to use KotOR Tool to set the portrait when I should have been using the GFF Editor. Thanks for the help!
General Kenobi
I would say no... it may cause some problems later on... always place your new 2da lines at the end of the file, especially if you plan to release the mod to the public. Yep I agree NO ONE wants to "find" the entry for their own modification to their file I'd highly suggest putting it at the end of the list. I make it a rule never to "retro" number General Kenobi
