Sound out of sync?

Hi guys!

 

I just got this game this week, and although everything else seems to be working fine, the video and sound in gameplay are not syncing up. Cut scenes seem to work all right, but when I talk to characters in-game, the sound is normal, but the video lags behind.

 

I've updated my video and sound drivers, downloaded the newest Psychonauts patch, and am having no other problems. Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do to correct this? Has anyone else had this issue?
