coupes.
Anyways... I wasn't impressed by the demo, it's basically the same old thing with a nice coat of paint. The AI is still pretty dumb and you can now take like 50 bullets without dying. Also, the demo was very linear, I thought it was supposed to be the opposite. I'm not saying it's bad, mind you. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun, like the original was, but I was expecting someting more from a "next-gen" game. I think I'll wait for a price drop to buy this one. Dagobahn Eagle
As usual for this board:p, the thread starter didn't write anything on what the demo contains, so here goes: The demo is, according to Gamer's Hell, a single-player mission featuring "the end of the beginning" (whatever the Heck that would be). You're a British infantryman tasked with wiping out enemy artillery. I have it on good authoritiy that it's "disappointing as you can take 50 bullets before dying, it's linear, and it still has stupid bots"(), but I haven't tried it myself. Hah! I pwn all u n00b tr3ad starters:D!!!111 Seriously, though: 1. If I throw a grenade into a room, will still at least one friendly 'bot charge headfirst into the room to get killed by the grenade? 2. Can you blow up more things now (such as boxes, radios, et cetera)? 3. Who thinks that Russians will still speak English [raises hand]? Who cares about links;). Whoever actually wants to download the c***p:p?

TiE23
I played it on my 3.2ghz, 1 gig Ram, and 6600GT 128mb at around 30 fps at 1024x768 with most of the stuff high and 2x AA. The demo was: Okay. The pistol should be a given for your inventory. The level was kinda cool. The models look like plastic people, like from Chaos Theory. I don't like how much stuff is bump mapped on the people. Its been dumbed down but it is sorta more realistic. But they are trying to take stuff from Halo 2, its kinda stupid. Jamps
Here's my humble take on the demo: First off, for a game of this quality visually, the specs needed for this are SO SIMPLE. Seriously, my average machine was running this on normal settings, with no disappearing bodies and beautiful smoke effects. The graphics on this game are amazing. It said 256mb ram is the minimum, and yes the Geforce MX cards work. So if you are worried if your computer can run this, don't. Download it and try it. The AI is pretty smart. They actually work together. While one Nazi is carrying a machine gun on his back and setting it up, his buddies will cover him. If the wound you inflicted on an enemy wasn't fatal, he will pull out the Lugor form his holster and start firing. Your friends also take cover, and even defend you! They talk/yell to each other, and the voice acting is great. The HUD isn't that good unfortunately. I STILL have not found the health bar, if there even is one. You can also take a lot of bullets before dieing, and as long as you take cover you are back to normal and good to go. The sound on the game, just as the previous Call of Duty, is LOUD and realistic. So be sure to turn your speakers down a bit unless you enjoy loud gunfire coming from your house..... The map in the demo was very good. You are a British solder with the mission of destroying 4 artillery areas and stealing documents. There are men everywhere, bodies pileing up around you, and a lot of cover. The lighting effects and smoke from the level, along with the exploding buildings from the beginning, really put you there. Of course you have your ironsight aiming, explosions everywhere, and sme pretty cool scripted events just like the previous Call of Duty. So try this out! It's easy to run, with great graphics, AI, sound, and gameplay. I'm glad they didn't abandon the WWII era. This is definately the best one yet. Now all we need is a multiplayer demo. RoxStar
My friend claims that "The demo won't let you select higher than medium settings" He has an ATI Radeon 7500. Can someone please tell me I'm right by saying that if you have a good graphics card, than you can play the demo on high settings?

Can someone please tell me I'm right by saying that if you have a good graphics card, than you can play the demo on high settings? Yah, I think so. I remember using high setting for something. But I'm not sure. So games get rid of their highest setting to lower the size of the demo or something.
