Soulforged
How can I do to turn the texture of Old Malak robe in one that my character can use, like RedHawk did with Bastila's? And I don't mean diguise, I mean an actual texture for the robe or for the clothing.
Soulforged
No one? No ideas? I should say that I don't have 3DStudio Max, and no other 3D moddeling program, so I cannot edit models. I just want to adapt the texture to some clothes or robes.
svösh
I think you mean what I did to Bastila since Redhawke’s recruit redhawke uses my Evil Bastila skin, but what you mean is how in his mod the female PC uses Bastila’s clothing “model”. For jedi Malak’s model , I’m not entirely sure it can be done if his head is part of the model.. if so it would have to be modified and decapitated. I have never imported that model in to 3d so I’m not certain. If not then it would have to be added to apperence.2da for the male player character for every line for the pc or ..the one you use the most. Then there is the question does jedi Malak use normal pc animations or like Darth Malaks anims either way his skeleton and model size is bigger, it would be funny to switch clothing / and models and see your pc grow half a foot, like putting on a pair of platform shoes. But if his jedi model use his darth anims then he can’t use guns or double bladed weapons or weapons in his left hand. For future reference texture is the skin, that is mapped to the model what you want is a model and skin change. svösh

I have never imported that model in to 3d so I’m not certain. But the texture that I saw didn't have the head incorporated to the picture. The file was "N_JediMalek01.tpc". That problem only occurs if you use disguise. If not then it would have to be added to apperence.2da for the male player character for every line for the pc or ..the one you use the most.So you say that if I add it to the scout line for example it will replace the texture of the clothing? But that requires a tweak of the 3D model right? I'll test this. For future reference texture is the skin, that is mapped to the model what you want is a model and skin change. Yes exactly what you did with Bastila's clothes I suppose. Now the problem is that I want a simpler way to apply it, without modfying the actual 3D model, I could tweak the .tga texture but I don't have any program to edit 3D models and honestly I don't want to do it either. Soulforged
I tested it and it doesn't works. Like I imagined a 3D moddeling is required because all the parts of the picture appear in disorder through the body, and your size also changes. But what does that happens, that's not supposed to happen, or has the texture any information implicit on it?
svösh
The models has specific mapping for the texture, so the model must use the skin made for it, the skin can be altered in a photo editing program. And yes you will be as big as Malak there is no changing that , there are other mods that make use of the jedi tunics like the one Nemo is wearing. you meet him on Dantooine out side the Enclave. Try at http://www.pcgamemods.com I believe one of the mods is called lame tunics But for a quick switch test you can export the N_JediMalek.mdl and N_JediMalek.mdx rename them as the scout model it’s pmbbm.mdl pmbbm.mdx rename the N_JediMalek01.tga to pmbbm01.tga make sure to convert the .tcp to .tga when exporting. Drop all 3 files in to override and when you put on the scout clothing you should be in malaks clothing, with your pc head ..unless his head is part of the model svösh

I could be off base on this but I was certain somebody had done that in one mod. On a side note Young Jedi Malak's robes and clothes still are unique and look different from the Generic Jedi tunic designs. It kinda goes with his big body. Soulforged
Thank everybody. I'll test what svösh is saying, but I've founded another set of robes in pcgamemods that are similar (title: "JediMinds").
