Guest DarthMaulUK
SOE to issue refunds to unhappy customers Posted 8:15am by DarthMaulUK (Official News) It seems that never does a day go past when Galaxies makes the headlines for all the wrong reasons. From the large amount of emails I get, some of you feel cheated about buying the Trials Of Obi-Wan well, SOE have listened and issued this statement: LucasArts and SOE Offer Refund for Trials of Obi-Wan On November 3rd we announced our exciting new game enhancements for Star Wars Galaxies™. We believe these modifications will significantly improve the gameplay experience and deliver a true Star Wars adventure. However, if your Star Wars Galaxies account was in good standing as of November 3, 2005, you purchased the latest expansion pack, Star Wars Galaxies: Trials of Obi- Wan™ before November 3, 2005, and you find that these new enhancements are not to your liking, you may request a refund of the purchase price of the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion pack. In order to obtain a refund, you may do either of the following on or before December 1, 2005: Send an email to refunds@soe.sony.com Send a written request for a refund to: SWG Trials of Obi-Wan Refunds 8928 Terman Court San Diego , CA 92121 Please include in your email or written request your name, address, telephone number, email address and Station Name (but NOT your password). You will be asked for information verifying your request and, upon the issuance of a refund, your access to any Trials of Obi-Wan content or features will be removed from your Star Wars Galaxies account. Please allow four to six weeks for processing. It is our mission to provide you with an experience that is worthy of the name Star Wars! May the Force be with you! The Star Wars Galaxies team The community never has liked any kind of changes to the game but providing the bugs are fixed before launch, the NGE seems to be the way forward to Galaxies and that coming from me, is a sweeping statement!! Guest DarthMaulUK
I think it was the fact that SOE were worried of any kind of law suit. Frankly, what they did was not good and so far, all this NGE etc has been a PR nightmare DMUK

Frankly, what they did was not good and so far, all this NGE etc has been a PR nightmare DMUK I agree.. But and i'll say it again, why the hell was the game relased anyway?? Why spend cash devoloping it?? SOE and LUCASARTS are screwed in the head buisness wise they must be... Its all to easy to make SOE the scapegoat here but Torress is a LA man and therefore head honcho,so someone, surely must take the blame for this debacle?
