NGE technical, character sheet and UI questions

Here's a few questions about the NGE that I'd like answered since there's no real technical documentation on the user interface itself.

 

First:

 

Here's what I get for my money, a malfunctioned UI only on my veteran character. First, my main menu (the ESC menu) is 90% offscreen (bottom right to be exact) so it is completely unusable. Also, the one feature I like the most, the xp bar, is also 90% offscreen and completely illegible. I cannot move any of these.

 

So my questions are: Is there a 'reset or default interface' button where I can just reset everything or is my veteran character cursed with a buggy interface meaning I can only use key commands to open menus. By the way, what's the key command for Mail and Community? I can get neither.

 

Second:

The character sheet has Strength, Constituation, Agility, Precision, Stamina, and Luck. I know what these do, but how do I raise them? Are they raised via upping levels or by my actions?

 

Again, how do I raise, like my constitution? By running? Eating right? Is it *gasp* class based? I'm confused now. Is there something online that explains this?

 

I guess we should post any interface NGE questions and concerns here and get some answers.

Questions threaded with insults. So, let me ask you this. Since you think SWG is "ghetto", does that apply to it's players as well?

Go under options, interface and reset defaults, then you have all UI up.

Listen, I'm sorry for the insults. But this is rediculous. I don't have the Starter Kit, so I don't know what keymap I looked at. All I know is I pay 15 dollars a month to have a bugged interface that I can barely use because it's skewed and broken. I didn't pay for that. So forgive me if I call it ghetto. Drive up in my driveway in a rusted pinto and I'd call your car ghetto, why? Because it is. It's not you I'm calling ghetto, just your car.

 

So yes. I have questions peppered with insults of frustration. Sue me. Better yet, sue SOE.

I remap all my keys as a matter of course....I turned off the exp bar...and I moved all my others around to where they were before NGE. the only expecptions being my "main" menu botton and that annoying Journely reminder thingee (anyone know how to remove that?)

 

the Safety deposit box is still there...simply place your coursor over the banking terminal and hit the ~ key.

I did like yours, lance, but the comment here was in reference to an almost polar opposite of posting style between trons two threads. one was smart and witty and this one reminds me of the SOE Official Forums standard.

LOL! Well, sometimes moods can come out in words. And like others here, yourself included, I'm giving this a chance. So far, it's not bad. Can use some work, but that can be said of any game. :-)

Yeah, I have to learn to stop venting on forums. I enjoy SWGalaxies, and I'm learning to enjoy this new version. It's an adjustment. I'll leave it at that.

CRAFTING

I was once an Artisan, now I'm not. I can only craft the least of foods (Meat jerky, iced tea). If I keep crafting and surveying, will my crafting go up at least?

 

I read somewhere that there was Combat XP, Social XP and Crafting XP. Is this crafting xp working? If I keep crafting milkshakes, will that enable me to learn how to craft Wrinkled Pants?
