DarkRevan
Hello every one, I'm new here so bear with me if I've done somthing wrong. Well anyway, I've installed this mod for Kotor 1 where the female PC can where Bastilla's clothes, its working fine for me. But there is this new mod for Bastill'a clothes that looks mega cool. I've install it and its works fine for Bastilla but I'm having trouble putting it for my PC character. Here's the site where I got it from: http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/7833.html I have little to zero knowledge of modding so you have to explain it to me in very good detail. If you scroll down it tells you the steps on how to get Bastilla's new clothes for your PC character. I can do all the steps except for the Fourth Step: Fourth step, you will have to edit appearance.2da or else the metallic parts won't shine and will be see through, open up your override's appearance.2da and change all of the female PC lines 91-135, you want to change only the envmap cell to "CM_Baremetal", without quotes in all of the Female PC lines 91-135. I have no idea what to do. I gave it a shot but it compleatly stuffed up my game. Luckily I made a back up of the files. So can anyone help me on how to do it or can anyone give my a copy of the file, if possible? Thanks for your attention.
The Doctor
Uninstall the first one, then install RedHawke's. His will be better, anyway.
DarkRevan
Wait I dont quite understand. Is the best way to do it is to uninstall the first mod then install the RedHawke's one? What does that do? does that one contain the file where the appearance.2da is already edited? Or is that RedHawke's just another mod with different clothes? The Doctor
They conflict with one another most likely. Just use RedHawke's. It will be the better mod. Just out of curiosity, who made the onther one you have? By the way: Welcome to LucasForums!
RedHawke
Hello every one, I'm new here so bear with me if I've done somthing wrong. Helo! Well anyway, I've installed this mod for Kotor 1 where the female PC can where Bastilla's clothes, its working fine for me. Who's Mod is this? In order to use mine you will have to remove all the files associated with this old mod. If not then mine won't work. But there is this new mod for Bastill'a clothes that looks mega cool. I've install it and its works fine for Bastilla but I'm having trouble putting it for my PC character. Here's the site where I got it from: http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/7833.html This mod looks like mine, all you need do is extract the files to your override, once you have removed the previous unknown mod. You do not need to edit anything on your end. And thanks for the compliment! I have little to zero knowledge of modding so you have to explain it to me in very good detail. You don't do any of this... and that is definately not what it says. They are instructions if you want to add in svosh's Good/Evil Bastila textures... See... Here is a copy of that text; Adding in svösh's Good/Evil Bastila Clothes: --------------------------------------------- If you know a little about modding KOTOR, copying files, and using KT to edit appearance.2da you could now use svösh's awesome Good/Evil Bastila Clothes on your Female PC. 1) First step is by copying the 2 good/evil textures svösh made P_BastilaBB02.tga and P_BastilaBB03.tga, 3 times each. 2) Second step, is renaming the three copies of the Good Bastila texture P_BastilaBB02.tga to PFBBL04.tga and PFBBM04.tga and PFBBS04.tga, this has now added the Good Bastila texture in as the fourth clothing variant, 3) Third step, is then to rename the three copies of the Evil Bastila texture P_BastilaBB03.tga to PFBBL05.tga and PFBBM05.tga and PFBBS05.tga, this has now added the Evil Bastila texture in as the fifth clothing variant. 4) Fourth step, you will have to edit appearance.2da or else the metallic parts won't shine and will be see through, open up your override's appearance.2da and change all of the female PC lines 91-135, you want to change only the envmap cell to "CM_Baremetal", without quotes in all of the Female PC lines 91-135. 5) Fifth step, is to go back into the game, and put on the Armored Clothes IV or Armored Clothes V and svösh's Good/Evil Bastila's Clothes chould be yours to wear. ;^) You could also put on the clothing variant 4 and clothing variant 5 you get in the Taris Footlocker as well, that's why I included them. As you can see, the text clearly states these instructions are only for adding in svosh's Good/Evil Bastila skins. (Don't worry we have all had DOH! moments!) Just install the mod after un-installing your previous one made by someone else, and you should be good to go. Thanks for your attention. I hope this cleared things up for you! DarkRevan
Thanks for the warm welcome, guys. I can see that you are trying to help me, but I still have no idea what you are talking about. I've installed the bit where you can wear the new clothes and its works for me but the gold shiny bit is see through. I dont know how to fix that. Sorry If I'm being a burden but I really want this to work. Well... I think I get the idea, I'll give it a shot. I'll tell you if it doesnt work. Oh and RedHawke, is it really your mod? Its really cool! It works for Bastilla and I love it. I just want it on my PC character now. Well anyway, I'll let you know if it works.
DarkRevan
Wait, I think I know why it wont work. This is the other mod with Bastilla's new clothes. I thought the PC female can wear it too. Heres the mod http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/8650.html But I was just so close, I can wear the clothes but the gold shiny bit is see through. I thought you can change it by editing the file. RedHawke your mod is working fine for me. I just thought the mod above would work on my character too. RedHawke
But I was just so close, I can wear the clothes but the gold shiny bit is see through. I thought you can change it by editing the file. Well, then you are almost done, you just need to edit appearance.2da with KOTOR Tool as I instructed in step 4. Open the appearance.2da you have in your override, or if you don't have one extract it with KOTOR Tool. Click on any line you didn't edit, and save the appearance.2da to your override. Do that and you should be home free.

I open appearance.2da on Wordpad and its got all this giberish in it except for the top line. I replaced envmap with CM_Baremetal. I dont get the 91-135 part. I saved it and I tried it but now the whole screen is gone, I can see anything. I dont know what to do. Cant any of you just give me a copy of it please? RedHawke
Sorry, but you aren't following the instructions. I never said to edit appearance.2da with wordpad that's why you are having problems. If you know a little about modding KOTOR, copying files, and using KT to edit appearance.2da See... @ FYI, KT = KOTOR Tool You will have to get that from the appropriate General Tutorials & Tools Forum above, there is a thread for downloading modding programs. You edit 2da files with KT, and only KT, hence my "if you know a little about modding KOTOR" statement. Don't be discouraged, you are almost there! DarkRevan
Well I didnt know you need a Kotor tool. I'll start downloading it. I guess I'll give it a third shot. I'll tell you if I get it right. Thanks for the suport RedHawke, you've been great.
