rictus135
I am currently trying to make a recruit mod for k1, in the lower city apartments where calo nord collects a bounty on two rodians. However, editing the .git file has ruined the cutscene. It looks kinda like you are viewing it from an incredible distance or something. Is there anyway to fix this? or should i just change the location to one without a cutscene? Also, when i try to talk to the npc i have placed, no dialog fires. The .utc file has the appropriate scripts, "recruit_klim" in the conversation feild, the .dlg file is called "recruit_klim" and both files are in the override folder. Does anyone know why the conversation isn't firing?
Darth333
Gff editors other than k-gff corrupt the .git and .ifo files, including the cameras in the .git file. You can still "repair" the cameras in the .git file using CamEdit to export the camera list from the original .git to your custom .git file. Use K-Gff to avoid this. As for the .dlg not firing, do you have any conditional scripts?
rictus135
Nope. Just basic dialog. Just so you know, I am using a proper .dlg editor, not the kt one, which I know can't save .dlg files properly. As for k-gff it doesn't seem to work for me. Only the "Type" field is active, and k-gff seems unable to display open files. Of course, I may just not know how to use it properly.
Darth333
For the .dlg file make sure it starts with an entry (npc line). For k-Gff: there is a small box on the lower left kgff window. Try to drag it to the right to see the treeview. If this doesn't do it, load your gff file, go to the view menu and select refresh.
rictus135
*Sigh* I really am pathetic. I didn't even think of that. Well the cutscene is working perfectly now thanks Darth333. But my perfectly constructed and artfully worded dialog files aren't. Which is weird since I have made similar ones before and they have. I don't know. You got any other ideas? P.S. Merry Christmas! (Although I think youve got the decorations out a bit early, it isn't even December yet!)
Darth333
If you want, send me a .utc and a .dlg file and I'll look at them. As for xmas decorations, here in Montreal they are everywhere around town since about 1 1/2 month. I was tired of the old avatar and since december begins after tomorrow I wasn't going to make an avatar just for 2 days
