Stalkerh
Hi, I'm Stalker. A couple years ago I headed up a modding team which created a little something called Star Wars: Fleet Command. Basically, SWFC was/is a Star Wars space combat RTS experience, designed as a mod for Star Trek: Armada II (and works fine on the STA2 demo). See below for instructions to download! Visit the mod's current homepage here for instructions and more screenshots! This mod features the following: Over 100 Total unit types! From X-Wings to TIE Fighters, Corellian Gunships to Carrack Cruisers, MC80s to ISD IIs, and SSDs to even larger ships... not to mention space stations and defense platforms! Play as the New Republic or as the Imperial Remnant! Colonizable and conquerable planets! Pesky planetary shields giving you a problem? Bring out the big guns to take them down! An (optional) robust resource model. Harvest planetary resources and asteroids to build your fleets for defense or war. If resource gathering isn't your thing, then turn it off! Configurable population limit. Tired of only being allowed a few Star Destroyers? Turn the population cap all the way up and build a fleet to rival that at Endor! Capture enemy ships and stations! That enemy platform giving you trouble? Disable it's weapons with mag pulse warheads, bring down it's shields, and bring in the Assault Transports! Play with never-before seen ships such as the Phalanx Missile Frigate, Thor Heavy Cruiser, and Raptor Ion Cruiser! I invite you to download this mod and take a look. It's a fun way to get into RTS combat in the Star Wars universe! I'll endeavour to post some screenshots of the mod in action later... rwps
Do you have a web site for the mod?
Stalkerh
Do you have a web site for the mod? We had a website, but it is no longer operational as the team has disbanded. As I'll probably jump in to mod EaW, I imagine that SW:FC will be available on the website for that.

Stalkerh
Try installing both the demo and the mod to C:\SWFC Some people have problems when trying to install to the default directory. Just force it to the directory above in both cases, and try it out.

swphreak
When I had Armada 2 installed, I played it quite a bit. The Death Star laser is mighty fun. Especially when you build 4 of them around your base... good times, good times. Can't wait to see what you cook up for EaW. Don't disappoint me. Stalkerh
I dont really understand how i get the SWFC to work can you plz give me some better instuctions. Thx Try the following: Although SW:FC was designed to work with the full version of Star Trek: Armada II, it is also compatible with the demo of that game. However, there are several display bugs, and the AI is slightly buggy, so it's advised to play it on the full version if you want the "full experience" without any hassle. If you're interested in trying out SW:FC, the following directions should get you in-game and trying things out right away! 1.) Download and install the Star Trek: Armada II Demo. 2.) Download and install Star Wars: Fleet Command 1.1.* 3.) Use your Star Trek: Armada II Icon to start SW:FC! 4.) Once at the Main Menu, hit Instant Action to play!** (Note that campaign mode is not supported in SW:FC.) * - There is a slight install bug with what directory the installer points to. You must manually define the install directory, making sure that you're pointing to the root directory of where your Armada II Demo is installed (for example, C:\SWFC) ** - In order to fix the "Dark ISD" display bug when playing as Imperials, you must go into the Options Menu, Graphics Options, and turn off Bump Mapping. This bug only occurs with the demo. You must do this every time you run SW:FC with the Armada II demo, as it does not save the setting.

Stalkerh
Andy819: Weird. I've had that error myself before... try reinstalling, as that usually takes care of most of the weird issues. I'll research that one tonight, just to make sure. rwps: You can't fight Star Trek vs. Star Wars in this version.. it's pure Star Wars Fury161: Go back to your platform and build a container transport/mobquet transport. These are the advanced construction ships that can build the Heavy and Super Heavy shipyards, used to build the really big ships...

jedi3112
There is a STvsSW mod for A2 out there, but it didn't go past the demo. There is also a complete one for A1. The A2 version should work with the A2 demo as well. Here's some links, you'll have to use the search funtion on the sites though. armada2files Also has the A2 demo. armadafleetcommand You have to log in (accounts are free though), and I'm not sure if they have the A2 demo. This site also has it's own forum, and I have read about some people willling to mod EAW, so I check it out every once in a while. I wouldn't be suprised if an EAW section turn up there, but I haven't read anything about this.
