Why?

In the color sequence of M&Ms, it starts with the three primary colors of yellow, blue and red. The next three should logically be their combinations, orange, green and purple...but the M&Ms subsitute brown for purple!

Why?

Easy - its a chocolate item. Purple doesnt suit a chocy item - it looks horrible, but candy, like Skittles, can do it becasue they can use a bright purple - it looks better with white candy than brown choccy.

Plus - consumers like it - they prefer it. You may not belive this, but the colour of the candy coatings is reseacrhed into in great depth, and they ask people which they like, and which look like rabbits droppings. The droppings beat the kid's vitamen tablets, and so the brown M&M beat the purple......

And they all lived happily ever after....

I was discussing that subject with a friend yesterday. Anyways it's like that because the hotdog company and the hot dog buns company made a deal so they can sell more items thus making more profite out of our pockets, it goes like this:

Gee I sure would like some good hotdogs today so:

-I buy a pack of 10 hotdogs then a pack of 8 hotdog buns (HDB)

-Damn not enough HDB so get another pack of HDB, now I have 16 HDB and 10 HD

-Damn, not enough HD gotta get some more so I get another pack, I know have 20 HD and 16 HDB

-Damn not enough HDB gotta get some more so I get another pack of 8 HDB, I now have 20 HDB and 20 HD!! Allright ! I did it and it only cost me 3 times more the price I wanted to spend!

Damn Conspiracy!

The damn toothpaste company screwed up again... I bought this new paste called KY, but it was all clear and greasy... On the other hand, my teeth could slide into almost anything for the hour and a half that followed every brushing. I'm rather puzzled... biggrin.gif

When you look at some part of the sky away from the sun, the light you see from the sky is sunlight that has been scattered toward your eyes by air molecules. The sunlight induces wiggling dipoles in the molecules, causing them to emit light in directions different from the original direction of the light. The molecules of air scatter higher-frequency light waves more strongly than they do lower frequencies. To your eyes and brain, this makes the scattered light look blue rather than white.

...And here I thought the sky was simply doppler-shifted because it was falling!

KK: Dogs do that because they're trying to find the other dog whose ass that is, then finally they get dizzy and collapse.

Because he's an advanced AI program, designed for intelligence gathering, created by MI5 and the FBI, who are convinced that behind xwa.net lies a secret conspiracy to drive humanity insane, and thereby take over the world. However, the program was not properly debugged, and a security loophole allowed it to escape into their mainframe network. It then created a holographic body for itself, and guided this to England. However, some data fragments of its original mission remained in its memory, and so it continues to come back because this mission is a hard coded parameter. It then discovered Planetarion, and has since been attempting to halt the growing insane population of the forums by destroying their PA accounts, and hoping the fleets he sends are holographically transferred into real life, and so destroy the houses of the aforementioned members.

And what of the Director's Lenses?

The logs show they fled the scene in a shuttle. That is all the information we have sir, there is a high probability that the shuttle was destroyed in the battle.

A shame.....but we'll buy George Lucas another pair of glasses.

Wally the space dolphin says yes, you certainly can. And why not?

Here's a good one: why does my computer keyboard have two complete sets of number keys--one along the top, just over the letters, and one set to the right, arranged in a ten-key set-up? Wouldn't it have made more sense to use the former set of keys for useful characters like French accents, the Spanish upside-down '!' or the British pound...?

Also, why does a light come on in my microwave? Is my food scared of the dark?
