Breakaway35
You guys understand pc specs and stuff way better than I do so can you tell me if this pc is any good at playing high spec games like EAW and BFME etc woops - heres the link http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/9201409/wo/gm2lzmSnZCeM2E0kr9S1IaAV8em/0.SLID?mco=8C895BA7&nclm=iMac
ChAiNz.2da
well.. considering it's a MAC.. you'll be very limited in the games available to play (not sure if E@W is one of them). I have a MAC (2 actually) and they're good computers.. but if you're wanting a "gaming" PC, I'd urge you to not choose an iMac.. yah, it pains me to say that.. hehehe I <3 Macs
Guest DarthMaulUK
EaW wont work on Macs, at this moment in time DMUK
Breakaway35
I had a feeling that games wouldn't work on a Mac. Trying to find a decent computer that doesn't hit well over a grand is difficult
robotsonic
you do get some games for macs. i'm fairly sure that Jedi Academy and maybe even Galactic Battlegrounds came out for mac, but you'll never get a mac to run a game as well the pc version. http://www.alienware.com/Product_Pages/desktop_all_gaming.aspx i'm not sure where in the world you are, but both in the UK and US alienware do decent packages for under a grand. and you know then that you're getting a decent machine. Guest DarthMaulUK
You could probably by a crap Dell PC for £400 then replace the cheapo graphics card and RAM for no more than £200 - giving you a decent PC for the money DMUK
ActofWar
I had a feeling that games wouldn't work on a Mac. Trying to find a decent computer that doesn't hit well over a grand is difficult I don't know if this will help you, it depends if you live in the UK or not If you do try this place. http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/index.php?page=formindex Your able to customise the base Unit / tower to what you what inside, graphics/memory/hard drive etc you'll be supprised as the cost as well But like i said you need to live in the UK for it to be any good for you. And I jst switch the graphics card and obv buy speakers. I persume you what a gamer computer.... If i were you get at least 300gb hard drive, with 2mb of RAM. The DVD rewiter, if you do do any rewiting, i would get a 16x Dual Layer. Other than the graphics card, which you already pointed out. and them i just said. Its not a bad machine. But i would suggest that you get a different Monitor in my exsprice Emachine's are more trouble than there worth.
