Modelling problem or ignorance removal request

I've been trying to edita sword by creating a new spline or a new shape in Gmax, converting it to editable mesh and attaching it to the sword.This compiles fine with MDLOps, but as soon as I get it in-game, the game either crashes or the additions don't show up...So I just wanted to ask, what did I do wrong?

 

Oh, and how do you get the game into window mod? I've tried editing swkotor.ini, but to no effect...

Ok, if you make new shape and want to attach to existing original model you need to set uvw map for new object, copy pivots coord and possition from original model and after that attach to original model or aurora base. Do not forget to reset xform and since new model doesn't have any animation use "select file" and "read/write" buttons in mdlops (do not use replace).

For windowed play try "ALT+ENTER". On my comp if I set FSAA in game option it's start only in window mode. :(
