TiE23
Trackmania Nations is the third game in the Trackmania series, a game that combines Burnout 3's incredible speed with the levels that looks like they were taken out of old HotWheels games. Add great graphics and levels and you've got yourself a pretty awesome game. But make a game people would gladly pay $30 for free, that's just insane. The game is addictive and really fun, I was just playing it a couple minutes ago and it's great. The internet play is great fun, too... But you can just stick to Solo Play if you want to. Also, since there is basically only one car, it's designed to be kick-ass cool, and really detailed (you can see the suspension move on tight turns and see the axels spin the rear wheel). The physics are really neat, not realistic so you can perform jumps, but you wont see your car bouncing off walls like a pin ball machine, infact, you can sometimes mis-land a large jump and not be able to get back on, which is really more cool than you think. There is also an editor mode, but I haven't tried that out yet, but I will later. toms
Its probably worth pointing out that this demo uses Starforce copy protection... something that a lot of people aren't that fond of. It installs its own device drivers or something. I don't know enough about it to know if its a justified concern.. or merely paranoia.. but i thought i'd give people the info and let them make up their own mind. http://www.glop.org/starforce/ (it's been reported in a few places to have some issues for system security, stability and CD writing, and doesn't uninstall once the game is uninstalled. The link has a link to an uninstallation tool.)
