gladiuus
The game is unplayable due to an incredibly slow framerate and unresponsive controls. This occurs everywhere, not just Dantooine. I have a brand new notebook, which has the following specs: Windows XP Media Center Edition w/ SP2 AMD Turion 64 processor (2.2 ghz) 2 gigs of ram 100 gb harddrive ATI Mobility Radeon XPress graphics card (128 mb) The graphics card has the latest drivers from Omega installed. I initially installed the official ATI drivers but uninstalled them (actually re-installed windows) due to an issue it seemed to have caused with the media center portal. I'm at wit's end here; I have a relatively high-end system, but the damn thing won't work. I can't find whether my graphics card is supported; the official LA site doesn't comment one way or another. Suggestions, anyone? Thank in advance.
RedHawke
While I'm not one for troubleshooting a problem, it would help you greatly to get help from someone here if you follow the instructions from this thread, and post that information here. gladiuus
I figured posting the system specs like I did was enough... the report pretty much says the same thing, just with more words. Anyone have any ideas on this? With 4 days now and no replies means you should at least try and post your report. -RH
stingerhs
well, i'll assume that you're running a laptop since you're using the ATI mobility. usually, that's a given that you'll have issues with the game since there is no official support for mobility cards in general (that means you'll have issues with an Nvidia card, too). anyways, we do have a new sticky entitled "Dealing with Laptop issues" that should be able to help you out quite a bit. gladiuus
Thanks for the tip. I also did some more research elsewhere, apparently I'm just SOL here. Bah. It's frustrating because KotOR ran fine on both my old laptops, which had an NVidia and different ATI graphics card, and TSL ran fine on my last old laptop, which had a different ATI card. Now this system, which is essentially better in all respects (4 times the ram, faster processor, etc) can't run the damn thing. Bah. I'm pissed. Thanks for the tip though stinger.
