Guest Tie Guy
Yes, there are aprentices and knights, and the masters, you can build knights AND masters at the same time, so it is possible to see two different types in one shot.
Compa_Mighty
Tie's right. That also happens with jedi.

Darth_Rommel
Why would you want to build Knights and Masters, both?
Young David
Masters are more expensive and can cloak. So you can have a lot of knights and a couple of cloaked masters.
Com Raven
If you want more infos on Master/Knight differences, look at Gamespots newest 6-page view at GB, especially the Empire and Rebels ,plus some nice infos on Sith/Jedi ... Guest Admiral Odin
Look at it this way. Some Knights can throw a person. You might wonder what I mean so I'll explain: You have the Knights closing in on one side of his base. Now you sneak to around his base with a couple of masters. They can do a surprise attack. That might be a reason to have 2 differernt Jedi/sith in the game at the same time. Or just because for scenarios might require a master/student force. Guest Cheddario
My favorite way to kill Sith/Jedi is bounty hunters. These guys are THE BEST!
