T7nowhere
You can only use Kgff to edit gff files, such files would include .git, .are, .ifo, .uti, .utc, ect.

The Source
Well for my mod I need to edit 603DAN but the map file is not supported by kotor tool yet mods such has the Dark Apprentice use it for their mods. I did it the long way. Before there was the Module Editor, you would have to manipulate modules by using the following: GFF Editor KotOR Tool Where Am I Band Pen & Paper (For Co-ordanates and Orientations.) Cam Edit (To Repair the Camera Settings, for GFF Editor messes them up.) Even though Fred made an outstanding attatchment, I still create modules the long way. This is the only way I feel like I am in control. There are very small steps that you can miss, so read up on all levels of module building. The smallest missed step can result in disaster, but a recoverable disaster.

The Source
Truthfully, there is so much to creating modules that it would take forever to go through; however, you can start by skimming through all of these: http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=592 http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=596 http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=597 Better Yet! http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=143427
