Seamhainn
As the Republic Commando board is very silent, I ask this question here. Is there any additional musical content on the RC disc beside what LA has on its web for download? Does anyone know which the proper order (in terms of game progress) for the titles is? Thanks for any help!
stingerhs
if you have the game installed... [Drive Letter]:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData\Music the music is all in Ogg Vorbis format (*.ogg) which can be played on WinAmp. something you'll notice is the format of the filenames: musGEN_jwbattle15_ep.ogg is one example. in that case, 'mus' signifies that it is a music file; 'GEN' signifies that the file is for Geonosis; 'jwbattle15' is the specific name; and 'ep' means that the song is non-looping. hope that helps. Kommando
When I first bought Republic Commando, I ended up playing it for a bit, but never really got into the game. I consider it worth the money for the music though. Between the music you can get from the website and the CD, I was able to burn a nice CD which I use for ambience in our PnP Star Wars RPGs. If you don't have a burner for WinAmp, you can search for a program called FreeRIP which will convert music from OGG to MP3 and back. BTW - In the latest Republic Commando novel:Triple Zero, there is a small glossary which has a lot of Mandalorian terms in it. Its kind of handy with the PDF from the website that has the lyrics to some of the songs like Vode An.
