Peragus Asteroid Exterior

In the 104 Peragus Exterior Module their was a cut scene with the ship docking and to the best of my recolection i dont remeber it being a movie(bik). How does it accomplish this?? And is the ship a placeable of some kind.

 

I don't really understand your post so I'm guessing you're wondering how the Harbinger ended up on Peragus.

 

Exile goes outside of the facility, Atton picks him/her up outside and they have a conversation which leads to the Harbinger pulling up.

 

Atton: Oh, what now?!

Atton: I don't believe this! There's a ship coming in, sending a docking code!

Atton: I have a bad feeling about this!

 

[scene cuts to Harbinger pulling up]

 

Harbinger comes out hyperspace and we see Sion (from the back) on the bridge, meditating. The camera pans into him and as it does it swings around so we see him from the front. The camera pulls out and the next scene we see is the Harbinger approaching the station. Then we go back into the game with the Exile standing on the scaffolds looking at the Harbinger as it slows down to dock with the station. The Harbinger then "pushes" itself towards the docking area of the station then the fuel pipe extends out of the station to the Harbinger. Afterwards it switches back to you being able to play the game.

Mac, Im thinking brwarner wants to use the model rather then just learn what happensin the game. AT least thats what I get from reading his/her post. Probably wants to see scripts etc to replicate them or modify them somehow.

This is done with Room animations. I.e. the "Harbinger arrives" animation is part of the area model, and the animation is activated with the PlayRoomAnimation() scripting command.

 

PlayRoomAnimation("104perg", ANIMATION_ROOM_SCRIPTLOOP01);

...plays the "Empty Space" animation

 

PlayRoomAnimation("104perg", ANIMATION_ROOM_SCRIPTLOOP02);

...plays the "The Harbinger Arrives" animation.

 

PlayRoomAnimation("104perg", ANIMATION_ROOM_SCRIPTLOOP03);

...plays the "The Harbinger is Docked" animation.

 

The same technique is used for the repairs to the ruined academy on Dantooine, and to change the view outside the cockpit window in the Ebon Hawk.
