RC-1162
stinger, i have a q, is there a place i can download the OpenGL 1.4.0 or is it a hardware-stored thing??
stingerhs
Open GL drivers are included in the latest drivers from you video card's manufacturer (Nvidia or ATI, usually). since this is unrelated to the thread topic, i'll split it off.
RC-1162
right. and thanks for the catalyst driver tip. KotOR works fine now
gmancagney
Do you need both OpenGL and DirectX for KOTOR? Because I only have 1.3 OpenGL drivers? My Intel 82845g graphics hardware is labeled as compatible on Intel.com.
stingerhs
well, simply updating your graphics drivers from your manufacturer should include both the latest OpenGL drivers and the latest Direct3D (DirectX) drivers as well. and compatibility for graphics chips other than the ATI Radeon line and the Nvidia GeForce line is limited at best. its usually not a fault with the drivers or the chip manufacturers, but simply a fault with the game itself since the developers didn't take the time to make sure the game works with those various chipsets. gmancagney
apparently, OpenGL latest version for the chipset is 1.3. But Intel insists that it works after changing the flip policy to "blit" (whatever that means).
