Son, you don't have what it takes to fire this 'geeky' pistol....! biggrin.gif Hell, the kick alone would knock you on your butt.

I never said pistols were geeky... All the guys that use the range fire either bolt-action .22's (bolt-action rifleheads... Me...) or piddly semi-auto handguns (pistol geeks)... I've watched them stare in awe when someone walks in with a revolver... Clearly their definition of 'exotic' is: "Anything that either has full-auto, or doesn't use a clip."

A few guys came from the regional SWAT team with their MP5s one day while I was there... The pistol-geeks just stared, jaws hanging... Me and the other bolt-action rifleheads glanced over, shared a quick laugh at the expense of the pistol geeks, then went back to putting holes in our targets.

The chakrum was an actual weapon, used by the Sikhs (in the region of India now called Punjab, and in neighboring Pakistan) during the middle ages. Chakra means 'circle' in Sanskrit, and is a word also found in yoga, frequently mentioned in today's western barkeating hippy new age nomenclature.

And yes, it is a nifty weapon. wink.gif It reminds me of the cheap plastic proto-frisbee 'throwing rings' they had when I was a kid, only made of sharpened steel. *!*

I did not know that. Cool!

I always wondered where the Xena writers came up with it.

I ahve to say, your weapons are kind of small, .308? .357? .22? M16? M249? no, those are weak weapons, an M256 120 mm smoothbore cannon is my weapon of choice. biggrin.gif

I have the largest caliber handgun of the twentieth century. It's a Colt forty-five revolver that was bored out during the war to fire .455 English ammo. *BANG!*+!!!

Down side: .455 ammo is almost impossible to find... rolleyes.gif
