Frame Buffer Issue

I have an ATI Radeon Card and I have a problem with some of the glowing effects in KOTOR/KOTOR 2.

I can enable frame buffer effects finally in both games. The lights all seem to glow like they should, but some of them dont glow alot until you get up real close to them and other ones dont glow unless youre shooting a weapon and the glow flashes as you shoot. In KOTOR 2 alot of lights dont seem very bright or dont glow as much as they really should and some similar light textures glow more in some rooms than others. Its really weird and not that realistic.

I had this weird effect in KOTOR 2 where I set off a mine and my 3c-fd astromech droid in the game suddenly had a flashlight effect in front of him lighting the way that wasnt there before. I've noticed this sometimes with T3-M4 when he goes around the Ebon Hawk at times too and I cant explain it because it doesnt work all the time.

These things just really bother me because I like the glow effects in the game and im just wondering if its supposed to do some of this or if theres something wrong I can change.

well, a simple test you could do would be to turn the Frame Buffer Effects on and off to see what happens.

from your description, though, it sounds to me like everything is working okay. do you think that you could post a comparison screenshot(s) to show us exactly what you mean??

and, yes, you need to post your video card type (not just the make) and the current driver version you're running.

Ive tried that, theres not much difference besides the fact that I dont get any glow effects at all if I turn it off. its just that when I have the frame buffer effects on, the glow effect from light sources just seem to be inconsistant, like one light might glow more than another light that is the same type. Some dont really glow much at all and look like they did before I turned frame buffer effects on.

I think a good example would be, on the Harbinger in KOTOR 2, the orange lights that light the corridors on the haribinger are lit up but dont glow much throughout most of the ship but yet when I get to the medical room near the crew quarters, the same light textures in there are very bright and glow alot more. Im not sure if thats supposed to happen or not but it just seems the rest of the same type of lights throughout the ship ought to glow like that too.

Its an ATI Radeon 9800 card and I have the newest 6.4 drivers.
