Uraj Djnn
I have three different video cards, and I'm wondering which is the best? VooDoo2 Radeon 9750 TnT2 From my experience overall, Radeon 9750 runs best in my Star Wars games, but it still is choppy and slow. In my Q3A game TnT2 runs best, but I get horrible fps online(28fps: 1024 connection speed, model merging, million scale pixels[lowest]), and when I play StarCraft VooDoo2 runs best(very little lagg) What video card could I buy to get me better graphics, but in the price range of $150-450? I've looked everywhere(including google, ask, yahoo, and msn), but I can't find anything better.
Yoda121
VooDoo2===??? Radeon 9750===ATI TnT2===nVidia I think that Radeon 9750 work better than other Video Cards. But, on another forum, I saw which somebody has got a problem with Radeon 9550 and several buggs are on KOTOR and I'm not sure which this video card will work good with KOTOR. Try TNT2. I think which she's a portable computer video card, but, she should work with KOTOR. I don't know VooDoo2...I can't explain you. Sorry
ChAiNz.2da
VooDoo cards were made by 3dfx long ago... they're now known as nVidia (since they bought out the VooDoo line, their biggest competition back in the day ) If they were around today, I'd be sporting VooDoo cards in all of my systems.. one of the reasons why I'm such an nVidia fanboy.. they took the technology and made it even better As for your lists however, Uraj Djnn, I'd say that Yoda121 hit it right on the money. Between those 3 particular cards, go with the ATI.. EDIT: I just noticed that you were also shopping for cards. Although your range is rather extreme... $150 - $400?? That can entail a TON of cards within those ranges... are you wanting to stick to the higher or lower spectrum of that range? Also, what type of expansion slot do you have available in your PC.. PCI, AGP or PCI-E?
Uraj Djnn
It's a PCI. The funny thing is that I bought the Radeon for only $30 at Wal-Mart. I have another question as well. Does overclocking affect gameplay if I use those ice pads to cool my tower? Added: Also, does the OS affect gameplay? I have 98SE.
