Daltu Posted July 21, 2006 Share Posted July 21, 2006 Ok my game wont start at all, it stops before it even begins in other words I've gotten as far as the black screen then it says it's encountered a problem and needs to close. I'm pretty intelligent and I looked at the report on my system through the configuration option on the menu and here is how it looks... (OS) Windows XP v5.1 build 2600 service pack 2 (CPU) AMD Athlon 64 processor 2800+ [1799MHz] (RAM) 448 MB (HD) C: [NTFS],UNICODE 53.13 GB free (VIDEO) VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP 128MB (Audio) VInyl AC`97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM) (OpenGL) S3 Graphics-1.2 (DirectX) DirectX 9.0 (4.09.00.0904) I think I need a new graphics card or something. Your Graphics card should be alright its a matter of if its compatible or not, personally i would reccomend updating direct X and seeing if TSL then runs after you have updated that, the other problem could be your AUDIO as you havent provided enough information to make a descsion on that - but first off try direct x! and try and find out more detailed infor on graphics cards and sound cards, an post back here hope that helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Secondly, what kind of budget do you have to upgrade you computer? Thirdly You need to pick up 512Mb stick of ram and replace the three (256,128,64) sticks in your system. You will need to get a better graphics card. Fourthly, I would high recommend get a sound card for your system. AC'97 is junk and uses your CPU to help process sound.
