A new Halo novel by Eric Nylund. Hell yes!

While trying to find out if Barnes and Noble had a thing on their site to check store inventory for the Halo Graphic Novel, I noticed something. This link...

Halo: Ghosts of Coral, by none other than Eric Nylund. It sounded familiar as hell, yet off still. I googled Halo: Ghosts of Coral, and lo and behold, a wikipedia for it was already made.

Hell yes. The familarness according to that was from the Conversations booklet that I believe only came with the Special Edition of Halo 2.

Let the speculation fly. And Halo-Haters, stay out, or at least keep it respectful.

EDIT: My first thoughts on here. Well not really thoughts, but some observations. In the Conversations booklet, the second letter is titled >>>CENSORED FOR: "Artifact On Coral." According to this, Coral is "unmolested by the covenant." It's a letter from an archeologist to his family. His team has been joined by a UNSC science team, as well as what he believes to be ONI agents. It says this...

"The object on Coral was discovered during routine quarrying. Explosives revealed the top of the object, blasting out a depth of around 30 meters. Surround rock and dirt were evaporated -- but this object wasn't even scorched.

It's undeniably alien. For one thing, it is made of a materal we can't identify. It's a metallic crystal, although it's mode of manufacture is unexplained. It's architecually perfect, walls are identical in height to a near-atomic scale. Symmetry is impossibly accurate. Yet it's rich in detail, and adorned with what appear to be purely decorative, arisitic motifs.

We know that the eighty or so meters we've uncovered so far are likely the tip of the iceberg. There seems to be a comnplex of galleries and vaults beneath, but so far, it's secrets remain sealed like a tomb.

Incredibly, it may not be of Covenant origin. I fear however, that it's age may mean it's mystery is lost to time. I just prat that we find some clue, some data that can help us in the war"

It says it may not be of Covenant origin, which IMO is obvious because the Covenant don't really make their own tech, they use others, IE, the forerunners. So if it is a Forerunner structure, could this perhaps be the Ark?

Also, one of the characters in the I love bees ARG plot was "a medical student/immigrant to Earth from a colony world called Coral named Kamal Zaman" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haunted_Apiary). This name, from what I can gather, has nothing to do with the letter though. But this is twice that Coral comes up in the Halo universe.

EDIT 2: They better include the other spartans in this too, at the very least Kelly and Dr Halsey.

EDIT 3: Re-reading the Letters booklet thing made me realize something. They hinted to an assload of stuff in here, such as the Elite-Brute Civil War.
