Kotor 1 Special Edition

I was in my usual contemplation place when I thought of a revelation. Now assuming someone from Lucasarts checks this board for ideas and input, I just wanted to establish something. If Lucasarts were to release a special edition of KotOR then I would like to know who would buy it. The reason for this is that I thought sometime in the future maybe two or three years, they could release KotOR with the majority of the content that was cut from it. Now although we are all aware that KotOR 2 had been drastically altered due to cut content, KotOR was also changed slightly. I remember reading up on the “Volcano” planet Sleheyron which did not make it into the final game. Also I believe some dialogue was cut and an extended piece on the Leviathan As well as another alternate ending (although it was cut for a reason). Introducing a handful of new sub-quests scattered across all 6 planets could also be done. To add more flavour to it, add the minor updates to the graphics and engine that improved KotOR 2 and I would certainly pay a price that is just below full game amount.

 

I’d like to know how others would receive this. Would you welcome it or would you be offended?

Yeah, Sleheyron was cut from K1, though it was very early in development.

Not sure whether I would buy it. I would not buy a restored K2, since it was cut out of economic interests, and supporting a restored version that I would have to pay for would mean supporting the idea of paying twice for one game. That's not the case for K1, though, so I'd be more in favor there. However, I'm skeptical that it'll happen, since Bioware would have to do it, and they don't seem interested in IP other than their own these days. So I think it's a moot point.

I would most defiantly buy KOTOR special addition!!! I figure you only have one life to live, why not do the things you love? and I love to play KOTOR, so in turn I would love to play the special addition. Although I didn't know that there was a cut piece on the Leviathan? where? when? what happens?? I need answers!!!

 

I didn't like TSL as much as KOTOR, but I thought some of the dialog was funny and I thought the story line was pretty neat. As to wether or not I would buy it, *shruggs shoulders* I dunno, maybe.

I agree! Although, i wasn't sure a bout the Leviathan bit at time of posting, i remember reading somewhere but i think im getting confused with the Ravager.

There was cut contenet at the Leviathan, think it was you were suppose to threat or persuade a sith offficer to open the prison block, where the party are captured instead of hack the terminal. Or you could maybe use both
