Guest DarthMaulUK
LucasArts is partnering up with the studio behind the MechAssault series to bring a brand new intellectual property to next-gen platforms. Chicago- and Maryland-based independent developer Day 1 Studios (MechAssault, MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf), is currently working on the secretive title. The developer is also handling the Xbox 360 version of the hit FPS F.E.A.R. The new game will be LucasArts' first original IP for next generation consoles. Considering Day 1's track record, it's likely that the title will be action-oriented with a significant emphasis on online functionality. Back in early March, Day 1 posted job listings for an art manager, technical animator and network software engineer to work on an unannounced game for PS3 and Xbox 360. More details are expected at an unannounced "future date." DMUK
