NiKo Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 would you prefer MI5 to be Roamfree? like in MI2, where you can leave the island whenever you want? or devided by chapters like all the other MI games? ------------------
Moti Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 I would prefer something like in EMI when you have Jambalya island and Knutin Atoll but it's still in chapters.
NiKo Posted November 17, 2001 Author Posted November 17, 2001 i dont think i would concider knuttin attol as an actual ISLAND.... just like i dont really count duck...i mean, skull island an island in CMI. to small, not much to do ------------------
StarEye Posted November 18, 2001 Posted November 18, 2001 MI2 was also divided by chapters, so I can't see what you mean by that. However, I would really like the fifth game to include every island ever visited in Monkey Island. That would be Melee, Monkey, Dinky, Phatt, Scabb, Booty, Jambalaya, Plunder etc... You wouldn't need to go everywhere to complete the game, but there would be lots of secrets and mini-puzzles to complete. At the end, you would get a xxx% completed grade or something, that lets you know how many puzzles you've solved in the game, where 50% where the main-game, and 50% were the smaller puzzles. That would make the game huge, and give it a really high replay-value. Who doesn't like running around looking at things, trying to do things to see if there was a small easter-egg or punchline that you didn't notice the first time you played the game. What do you think? ------------------ THX to Brighteyesmonkey for this magnificent sig. Final Fantasy and all

Honey Posted November 18, 2001 Posted November 18, 2001 Roamfree for sure!! It makes the game more exiting and difficult, and that's great if u ask me.
Jamez Posted November 18, 2001 Posted November 18, 2001 I really enjoyed about the part in MI2 where u were sailing round all the islands and think you should definoutly be able to do that again.
storken Posted November 18, 2001 Posted November 18, 2001 It should be very, very long and hard... including the islands of Melée, Monkey, Dinky, Scabb, Phatt, Booty, Plunder, Blood and Skull Island...you see my point? ------------------ "the storks are listening" [This message has been edited by storken (edited November 18, 2001).]

benjoyce Posted December 4, 2001 Posted December 4, 2001 I share Jamez's idea, like: -a bit of roamfree, but with chapters: When the events divide games into chapters, and not the Islands. BUT: I have a need to think it as a curriculum vitae. Like: -Mi1-Efmi -Mi2-Mi5 -Mi3-Mi6
