KOTOR II: Sith Academy library terminal: history of the Sith

In KOTOR II, when you reach the abandoned Sith Academy on Korriban, there is a part where you must enter a code at a terminal in one of the student's rooms, but in order to get that code you must first obtain it from the terminal inside the library. When you access the latter terminal, you will notice that there are many options, including "history of the Sith." That option, however, is unavailable to access.

 

Here's my idea: why not make that option available? Make it open up a screen where the entire history of the Sith and their Dark Jedi forefathers--from Xendor until Darth Revan--is shown to you. Either that, or have the machine dispense the information in the form of a datapad.

 

Such histories are available all over the place, such as Wookieepedia and the like. However, the most concise history can be read in issue 88 of Star Wars Insider. (Or you could simply ask me and I'll write a summary for you myself.)

 

It's a simple mod, but I think it would be quite interresting, especially for players who may not have done quite as much digging in the Star Wars universe.

i never thought of that, thats a good idea but i would'nt want to go throught spending 30 mins looking at the history of siths like darth revan when i can find out it on the internet. however if someone did that idea but put a quest with it where you find out about a siths past and there is a mystery because the computer says something about how to get to the unknown regions and you can travel there. (porting could be done but i wouldnt advise it) and find out what happened to revan. T3-M4 takes you there because you hack in into his hardrive very deep and then he tells you to goto the unknow regions to rescue revan and you can recruit him.

Uh, wow. Um, that's a little more than I was asking for. Actually, I think a quest like that should be left up to KOTOR III to provide.

 

And it wouldn't take thirty minutes to read the history of the Sith up until Reven's time. You can condense it so that it may take you five or so minutes.

 

EDIT: Or, you could make it so that it accesses a number of holorecords of a Sith Master who is supposed to be the Academy's scholar, and actually record lines, and have them be in segments. That way you could just listen rather than read.

 

But that would take a hell of a long time in comparison to my first idea. Still, it even if it is only text, it should be in segments rather than one long entry.

EDIT: I *am* working on it, it's just that this topic gave me an idea for my own mod, which i have been working on for *hours*.
