SykoRevan
Is it possible to make a mod to change all mining droids in the Peragus Facility in TSL to their original concept models? Here are pics of the original look for both the mining droid Mark I and mining droid Mark II Mining Droid Mark I: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Drdminesm.jpg Mining Droid Mark II: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Drdminelg.jpg
HK-87
As the KOTOR team had a tendancy to leave cut content in, its probably there. I would also enjoy this mod.
SykoRevan
I know for a fact that the Mining Droid Mark II original model is still in game files, as stated by wookieepedia, but I would have absolutely no clue as to how to put these models in the game. And its not really cut content, it's basically early concept art which they changed when they decided to make the models different. But looking at the original models, I think they look better than whats in the game now. I mean, the mining droid mark I looks like a stupid robot crab, but the original concept model actually looks like a mining droid. And the original Mark II just plain looks better than whats there now.
Master Zionosis
Well, its easy really, if you know the name of the model just extract it using KoTOR tool and rename it to the droid you wish to overwrite, though i have never tested this, so it may not work, but theoretically that should work! stoffe
I know for a fact that the Mining Droid Mark II original model is still in game files, as stated by wookieepedia, but I would have absolutely no clue as to how to put these models in the game. Those droids already have appearance types in the game. They are Droid_Utility_Mark_1 (541) and Droid_Utility_Mark_2 (542), though I don't think I've seen any of them used in the game outside M4-78, but you can create new characters using those models. If you want to replace the current Peragus mining droids with those you can just copy&paste their lines (541, 542) in appearance.2da on top of the appearance lines used by the Peragus droids, Droid_Mining_Mark_One_A (460) and Droid_Mining_Mark_Two_A (461). SykoRevan
Thanks stoffe, I'll try it and hopefully it works and I don't screw it up. (I have a habit of doing that to my game when using KotOR Tool.)
HK-87
Same for me, man. If you can, release it as a mod?
Wacky Jack
judging from this screen shot, i'd say that somebody has done this at one time, but never released it as a mod. also, it looks like some of the PC models from K1 are still present in TSL...unless that was illegally ported over from K1 to TSL
Master Zionosis
That was a pre vis picture for the game, its on the back of the official prima game guide, obviously Obsidian were originally going to use the K1 Jedi robes instead, untill they changed it! SykoRevan
I did what Stoffe suggested, and indeed it did work... sorta. The mining droids don't fire blasters. They do a firing animation and my character appears to be dodging something, but the blaster bolts don't show. Is there a way to fix this?
