Sion vs Nihius cutscene.

I want to make a mod that adds the sion vs Nihilus cutscene back into normal gameplay, but I have to know at what point in the game this scene is supposed to play!

I'm already on this mate, althought I'm struggling to get permission from the original author (due to him being hard to contact) when it was sceduled in game doesnt at any point occur as for the cutscene Sion thinks the Genoharaden had killed the Exile. I was going to place the scene just after Peragus with Sion assuming that the Exile had been killed in the expolosion.

 

Edit: I'm also busy with Uni so feel free if you want to do it, I can send you the .Bik file of the movie I have, and what script you will need to trigger it ingame courtesy of Hangout Hermit.

there is no need for a .bik of it there is a actual ingame cutscene! i'm planning to release this after TSLRP so it will be after the GenoHarradan "Kill" the Exile. Also having after peragus kinda ruins the intro for nihilus With visas. But i would gladly accept the files you have, also why would you have to get permission from some modder the scene was made by OE and they encourage any resoration efforts.

Because the scene isn't anywhere in the game files, it wasn't included only VO's and notes were in game so if your going to do the scene you will need the .bik file The scene you can see on you tube was made by a modder called darkwarrior so you will need to list him on the credits for your mod as he has done all the hardwork.

 

You may want to do abit more research before you start your mod, as the reason TSLRP aren't including the video is because the Genoharaden sidequest where everyone thinks the Exile is dead is completed AFTER Nihilus has been kiled. So the scene wouldn't make any sense, which was why I thought the only place to put it in was when finishing Peragus. Kind of ruins the Visas scene but given 99% of people will have already played the game it doesn't really ruin the scene as its nothing we havent seen before.

Some background on this scene, provided by Valec of TSLRP forums: In the cut-content of kotor 2 there is a segment in which all the party members believe you to be dead, this is part of the genoharraden sidequest and I'll lay it out briefly for you all on how it was supposed to go

 

1. Before you hit Nar Shadaa there was supposed to be a cutscene of a sith assasin informing Sion that you are currently on the smugglers moon

 

Sion pledges to go there and kill you, and in so doing kill the last of the jedi

 

2. On your travels on Nar Shadaa you come across the Genoharraden headquarters, and you fight with their leader (it's much more complicated then stumbling across it but im simplifying) when you defeat Desicuss inside the Genoharadden base the entire base blows up.........this leaves your party member, and Sion who supposedly sees this thinking you are dead

 

3. Sion then travels to the Ravager to tell Nihilus that you have been killed on Nar Shadaa and that their alliance together is finished, Nihilus then proceeds to kick his ass

 

orrignally what was supposed to happen was Nihilus was supposed to kill Sion outright, and this was tied to the Atris as Kreia ending that will not be restored, so instead the scene has been modified so Sion limps away beaten
