bolsen Posted June 7, 2007 Share Posted June 7, 2007 When reinstalling TSL i get this error early on in the installation: Feature Transfer Error Feature: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords_files Component: Default Component File: E:/data2.cab Error: The volume for a file has been ecternally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid. Mmmm..... sounds like your Disk 2 has some sort of error in it, so when you put in disk 2 you are unable to carry on the installation. This has never persoanlly happened to me before. Is your second game disk in good nick? Are there any deep scratches or anything of the sort as if it is a problem with your second disc, which i highly suspect it is you may need to buy a new copy of the game. This is a last resort however so if all else fails to ultimately get the game working again is to back up important files on your comp, reinstall your OS and then try reinstalling the game then and it should work.
