SykoRevan
As you can hopefully see from the screenshot below, the lightsaber blades in KotOR are crooked, especially at the base of the blade and the tip. As this is most likely a modeling problem (and the last time I tried changing a model, it reminded me of Venom) I was hoping someone could give a little help in fixing it. Master Zionosis
I don't have that problem and thats probably because i don't use any hilt mods when i play the game, i noticed in your picture you have an Obi-Wan hilt, it is probably an error in that. ChAiNz.2da
Is it re-modeled and re-textured? I ask because I've gotten this same problem when it was only a re-texturing job. The main problem is that the diameter of the saber color (not black) isn't perfectly centered within the 256x256 / 512x512 .tga file. Odd as it may sound, just the slight skewing tends to cause this (aggravating as heck too )... The only kewl part about it is that's one of the ways I discovered how to make my custom Revan's saber blade colors As much as a pain in the arse it is, you'll need to re-center the entire color "somehow". There's tons of methods but none are nice and easy unfortunately.. especially if it's not a custom color you've worked on yourself because most of the elements that would make it easier have been flattened once converted to .tga. This blends the black with overlaying colors and makes it almost impossible to get satisfactory results Not only that, it can also be caused if the center color has too wide of a berth (you'd think the opposite, but nope).. wide, or engorged center colors start bleeding on the blade planes.. combine this with off-center color and it's bleeding more to one plane and less on the opposing plan (hence the crooked look)... Hope I haven't bored you yet.. hehehe, but honestly if it's not anything that's majorly distracting.. I'd ignore it. "Fixing" it is about as much pain one would ask for a re-texture job. It can done (or re-done rather) but it's definitely a job and the results may not be the same as the original.. You know what man, I apologize. I swore this was in Holowan and not a request thread So sorry about that. Ignore my "ignore it" comment since this is obviously a request.. hehehe Hey at least the person will know what to check ~ Cz

This blends the black with overlaying colors and makes it almost impossible to get satisfactory results Well, as for re-modeling, the only things modified are the hilts with oldflash's movie hilt mod, and as for re-texturing, I'm using Shem's Prequel Sabers mod. When looking at the .tga's, I do notice the textures are a little bit off-center (I have very good eyesight:)) Unfortunately, my good eyesight is the reason the crooked blade is so noticeable to me, hence why I'm asking this in the first place Not only that, it can also be caused if the center color has too wide of a berth (you'd think the opposite, but nope).. wide, or engorged center colors start bleeding on the blade planes.. combine this with off-center color and it's bleeding more to one plane and less on the opposing plan (hence the crooked look)... Hmmm you're right ChAiNz, I never would have guessed that. However, now that you mention it, I see how that could affect it. On Shem's prequel blades, I notice that the blades are dim when you look at them from behind, which could mean the colors are bleeding more on the front planes than the back planes, and if I'm right, it could also be because the outer color isn't aligned perfectly with the center color (which I also noticed is true of the textures.) This is also noticeable when using BioWare's defaults sabers, just not as noticeable because Shem's mod makes the sabers wider than the default sabers, which also means it makes the imperfections more noticeable. I think the default BioWare saber texture were originally off-center, which is an understandable oversight. If it's just a problem of the textures being off-center, I believe that I could nitpick at the texture until it's completely on-center (once again, my good eyesight comes into play) You know what man, I apologize.
