Dagobahn Eagle
I recently started to re-read Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden, and I must say I've forgotten how good it was. It tells the tale of Ellie and her buddies, who after camping out in the Australian wilderness returns home to find their country under attack and their town abandoned. The book describes emotions, friendships, and fear in a great way and has some fine lessons of wisdom in it. I keep thinking it'd make a great movie or TV series, and Marsden recently did indeed sell the TV/movie rights to an Australian company. Let's see where it goes and hope it won't turn into a hyperactive Hollywood flick. Anyways, are there anyone else here who read his books? I've only read some of the the Tomorrow series books, but his other titles seem really interesting, too, apparently focusing very much on thoughts, feelings, and so on rather than just describing action. I'll have to see what the city library has.
Samnmax221
Sounds interesting. I'd go pick up a copy but I've got books sitting around that I haven't finished yet, currently.
Dagobahn Eagle
Know the feeling. I'm currently in the middle of a book by Christie, one by Erlend Loe, one by Bjørneboe (Norwegian authors), and Satanic Verses - all at the same time:eek:. I'm very keen about the Ellie chronicles, to be honest, as I'm interested in psychology and traumas. Author's site.
