chesstech
I am having a problem loading my saved gamed in kotor 2. I tried to install some modds into my override file. I didn't realize that the modds were conflicting and the game kept crashing. I backuped my files before I made any changes. So when I tried to restore my game, Some of the changes were still there, others not. I tried to uninstall and reinstall my game to bring it back. This seems to temporarily fix the problem. I shutdown and then restart my pc and launch the game the problem returns. I try to load a saved game and it freezes up at 1/3 of load bar. Autosave take me to the fuel depot, but there are no droids, the force fields are gone and I can't transport to the surface. I downloaded the tools but no clear understanding of how to use them, except for save game editor. Have I completely trashed the game or can I bring it back. Q
Are you trying to use a save from after you installed the mods? If so, it's probably corrupted and you need to use a save from before you installed the mods, if you have one.
chesstech
I found the problem. After reading some other postings, I did a file search and found a temporary file that had my saved games and what looks like the bug causing the problem. I deleted the file, reinstalled the game, played though peragus and saved the game, shutdown and restarted the game, loading is now back to normal. When I uninstalled the game and got the prompt for deleting my saved games and configs. I clicked to delete the these files but somehow the remained. I had to manually delete them to restore the game to normal. Thanks everyone for your insite on the game, I was ready to chuck the whole thing(lol).
