Lightsaber Ratio?

I'm playing on the Xbox version, and for some reason the chance of getting a regular single blade saber is slim. I only get short sabers or doubleblades.

This really sucks, because I want my character to have two, but the only other one I got was when I killed Sion. =P (Doesn't really work out.)

So, does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone know where I can find another single blade in game? Or is it that random item thing...

Lightsabers are generated randomly, so if you're unlucky you'll only end up with one type and one color. The random loot is usually generated the first time you enter the area where it can be found, so in some areas you can do a savegame before first transitioning to the area and then reload until you get the loot you want. Rather time consuming way of doing it though. :)

I see, that is unlucky. Well, I just beat it again last night with Dark Side male, so let's see if a Dark Side female will change anything. =P

But I'm gonna try that save game thing, especially on Telos, I hear you can get some good saber items from the shop guy. True?

Merchants usually get their random items determined the first time you talk to them (even if you don't trigger the store screen), so in those cases you wouldn't need to reload a save before entering the area, just before talking to the merchant NPC for the first time. Loot in containers and on NPCs are determined when the area is loaded for the first time though.

This works fairly well with the Duros on Citadel Station, where the lightsaber crystals he has available can be cycled by saving and reloading until you get the color you want.

Sweet. Well I'm going through the ever so annoying Peragus, so I'll try that out as soon as I make it to Telos.
