lost key code

Can anyone tell me what to do if my son lost his manual for Empire at War? We are trying to load the game on our new computer and don't have the key code? Please help...

We have the box it came in if that helps.

I searched Google a little bit and didn't find anything definitive, but I would try to call LucasArts or Petroglyph support and ask them for a new one or to retrieve your lost one. I'm sure one of the two could help.

They also told me at Game Stop that if you get a new computer, you cannot load your games onto it if they were on your old computer. Does anyone know if this is true?

Amazingly untrue. I'm appalled they tried telling you that.

Like all good computer stores, they haven't a clue what they are talking about. This sort of thing is true for games like Half Life 2, where the CD/Activation key is unique to that game.

 

You're best bet is to either email or call LucasArts support. They have a procedure where they can issue replacement keys.

send yoda's help desk on the lucas arts customer support an e-mail asking for a new cd key. I had to do the same thing cause the cd key that came with my game didn't allow me to get online. you will need to send them a scan of receipt scan of both cd's the front and back of box the game came in and they might need some other items also. allow 1-2 days for a response to your e-mail.
