SithRevan
In K1 and wookiepedia, I remember seeing that the Rakata hyperdrive technology was based on the force. Also the star forge was powered by it. So the Rakatan would seem to have to have had some way of working with the force and detecting it before their machines came along to build that sort of synergy into their machines. There's also the matter that the Rakata elders tell Revan that the One is a force sensitive, and is a genetic "throwback" to the way their race used to be. Well then I guess that clears up my quandry.
Jvstice
Glad to help. I keep hoping that we'll see something more from LA about the Rakata in the past. They've all been wiped out by Darth Bane. A rakatan temple turns up briefly in the clone wars comic books, but I really haven't found any other references to them.

Try wookiepedia, they usually have sources at the bottom of the pages on where the specific alien/creature your looking for has appeared in or has been mentioned in. Jvstice
sorry. I meant by Darth Bane's time. And thank you for posting the link up. I knew I'd seen the article before. There's a mention of a Rakata temple that's not mentioned that I know I've read before, but there's no other mention than to mention that the temple was a Rakata temple. Gargoyle King
A Jedi Wookie, a rarity at best. I think the reason of the rarity is because of the wookies nature, loyal but fierce and aggressive when threatened, not likely Jedi material (in context of the Old Republic and the prequel trilogy that is). Also a force sensitive Wookie is aparently only born once every century or so, suggesting the main reason of the rarity of Wookies amongst Jedi. Lowbacca (Chewbacca's nephew) was found to be force sensitive and eventually became a Jedi under Luke Skywalkers Jedi Academy, so i suppose that is an example of a Wookie Jedi. Rev7
Wouldn't you think that being a wookie Jedi would be kinda hard??? I mean all that strenght and power. Many having fear of you. I think it would be extremely difficult... on the edge of impossible, to become a wookie jedi.
