Silveredge9 Posted September 4, 2007 Share Posted September 4, 2007 I have a moment in which the factions of 2 NPCs are switched from Neutral to Predator and Prey. This is done during dialogue, as I intend to have it so you can see them fight during the dialogue. But something weird happens, they don't fight during the dialogue, nothing happens. Then, after the dialogue ends they suddenly start fighting. It's strange, anybody know how to make them fight during the dialogue? :/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The combat AI is blocking out certain routines if you are in a cutscene/dialog. Also, after changing factions, are you initiating combat for the NPCs? If they have already perceived each other before turning hostile the AI won't run hostility checks until something compels it to do so, so combat would not be automatically started in those cases. You can use the GN_DetermineCombatRound() function (in k_inc_generic) for this, set the function parameter to the object they should start combat with.
