Admin in OJP

As a newb to OJP i've come across a question.

 

Does it have an in-game admin system or what?

 

OJP Basic that is, there's no default .cfg file or any obvious full documentation on everything admin. XD

 

I'm used to the admin system in JA+ so I have no idea how the one here works.

 

If there isn't an in-game admin system similar to that.... *looks over at the source code >_>*

The only admin sys we have is rcon. . But I think we have added several commands. Dont remember what we added though...

No in-game admin system...? Ugh T.T guess it's time to make a mod for a mod then, my friends on my server wont switch to OJP just because of that. >_<!

 

P.S. If I actually accomplish this, I wonder if the OJP devs would use the system if it was decent. o.O

Sorry about the late of documentation or server.cfg support for OJP Basic. We're no longer doing active releases of it even thou the code base is still updated.

 

If you need a server.cfg, you could just adapt the one from OJP Enhanced.

yeah, given that where we will most likely be getting most of our new players (RP, honorz duelers, etc) We probably should strengthen up the admin system a bit...but not too much!! We don't need our mod filled up with power tripping admins!!! Thats why alot of people went to MB2 aside from its other obvious draws. Yeah talk to darth die about that. He's our best official coder while Razor and Ensiform are out. We have a few others, but they dont show themselves very often.

 

We should make some kind of safety guard against those kind of admins that is client side that only us OJP devs know. A secret command that would kick a crazy admin! LOL

my only beef with the admin system is that there is no way to spawn stuff. im an active vehicle user and ive made use of the cloak feature in ojp but theres no way to spawn my ships unless theres cheats on and online people don' t like to do that

Yeah, I just really looked at the code and realise this.

 

C++ likes you to tell it more exactly how to do things then the lovely simplified version I was using. XD Still many similarities, but i'm going to have to crash my brain off of what I learned. Once I do that though, i'll be sure to be helping as much as possible. ^_^

 

P.S. ATLEAST THE FOR PROC IS GENERALLY THE SAME!

I don't think that's a good plan. During the time of Omnimod, the creator did something like that and people freaked out.

Hehe, we wouldnt say that up front, they'd just find out the hard way when they actually do abuse it LOL! I was mostly kidding anyways. I didn't even know it was really possible.
