acdcfanbill Posted November 19, 2007 Share Posted November 19, 2007 I don't recall exactly what parts of JKA used what parts of directx. It's an openGL game, but you need directx9.0c for something they do, I assume its the audio based on the error message you posted. ------- sound initialization ------- Initializing DirectSound - using ancient version of DirectX -- this will slow FPS locked hardware. ok Directx 9.0c should be on either CD1 or CD2, so poke around the CD's or you can probably get it off microsoft's website.
